| Join us on the 1st and 3rd Friday each month for our 2008 Meetings! |
What is a MOPS group? MOPS groups are communities that strive to meet the needs of every mom with children from birth through kindergarten. MOPS recognizes that urban, suburban, and rural moms, stay-at-home and working moms, teen, single and married moms all share a similar desire to be the very best moms they can be. MOPS groups can help! MOPS helps moms through relationships established in the context of local groups that provide a caring atmosphere for today's mother of young children. MOPS also encourages and supports moms through resources such as books, MOPS.org website, the daily MOMSense Radio program, and the MOPS♥to♥Mom Connection. What happens during a MOPS meeting? Discussion: The intimate and accepting atmosphere of a small group offers moms a chance to share their successes, failures, questions, and concerns. It is during these times that a mom realizes that she is not alone, and lifelong friendships are formed. Teaching: Topics presented at MOPS meetings celebrate motherhood and meet a mom's unique needs during this season of life. Creative Activities: Through creative projects and presentations, women are encouraged to expreience the sense of accomplishment that comes with trying and finishing new things. MOPPETS: During MOPS meetings, children are cared for in a program called MOPPETS, where they experience love in a pre-school like setting. |
When does MOPS meet? MOPS meetings occur the 1st and 3rd Friday of each month, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., during the months of September through May. | Where does MOPS meet? We meet at Trinity Community Church in Libertyville. (Click on the "Contact Us" link above for map and directions) | Who is able to join MOPS? All mothers of preschoolers (children from infancy through kindergarten) are invited to attend! You do not have to attend Trinity Community Church in order to attend MOPS. |
If I have any questions, who do I call? You can contact the MOPS Coordinator, Sharon Carron, at 847-855-1734. | How much does MOPS cost? The fee for the Fall Session (September through December) is $60 and the Spring Session (January through May) is $60. This fee helps pay for the MOPPETS program, craft supplies, and other items needed to run the MOPS program. Each mom will receive a MOPS♥to♥Mom membership and benefit package which includes materials such as the MOMSense magazine, a CD and a book to support and encourage you during your mothering years. We do not want finances to be an obstacle for anyone to be able to attend. Please contact Sharon Carron, 847-855-1734, if this is a concern for you, so we can come up with a creative solution. |
How do I register? Please contact our MOPS Coordinator, Sharon Carron, at 847-855-1734, and ask her to mail you a registration packet. |
