Community Groups

And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers (Acts 2:42).  And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts (Acts 2:46).

As a community, we meet both as a large, worshipping congregation and in smaller gatherings where we can share our lives together.  These smaller gatherings are called community groups.  Some groups meet in homes in the community.  Community groups allow us to live lives devoted to one another, as described in the book of Acts.  Community groups allow us to share our lives, time and life experiences with one another.  Most importantly, they allow us to deepen our relationships with God and Jesus Christ.  Whoever you are, there is a community group waiting for you!
LIFE Groups - What is a LIFE Group?

A LIFEgroup is a group of people as small as four or as large as twenty.  LIFEgroups most often meet in homes during the week.  Some groups are near the church and some are as far as Cook County. Many LIFEgroups study a book of the Bible or focus on a video series; it is a great place to grow in your walk as a Christian.  You are always welcome to visit a LIFEgroup, anytime.  They require nothing to join, and they are always open.  If you are new to Trinity, A LIFEgroup is a great place to meet people.  If you have children, several LIFEgroups offer childcare.

Men’s  Groups

B.O.B. Groups (Band of Brothers) - Men Helping Men In Their Walk With God

"As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another."  Prov. 27:17   "And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds.  Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another -- and all the more as you see the day approaching."  Hebrews 11:24-25

Christian men face some difficult challenges, and need the friendship and support of other men to meet those challenges effectively.  In order to help, we have Accountability Groups of five or fewer men who meet weekly or biweekly to share their goals and struggles and to encourage each other as they strive to work out their faith in their daily lives.

Women's Groups

Join our Thursday morning Women's Bible study!  We meet on Thursday mornings at 9:00 a.m. for Bible study and fellowship to support one another.  This group allows you to talk about issues, share life experiences and support one another in prayer.
Specialized groups
Specialized groups gather people with a common need or interest for specialized care, comfort and support. DivorceCare groups provide support to those who have experienced the pain of divorce.  GriefShare comforts those who are dealing with the loss of a loved one.  Recovery Groups provide places of accountability and freedom for those struggling with addictions.
