| Our three-fold purpose as a church is to worship God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord, to grow in love and spiritual maturity as followers of Jesus and to spread His Kingdom in the world. |
What do we value? First, we encounter the gracious love of the Father who calls his wandering sons and daughters back home. Through trust in Jesus we find forgiveness, acceptance, meaning and eternal life. Then, the overflow of knowing God's love changes our relationships with each other. We believe God has given us the Biblethe trustworthy guidebook for who God is and how we should live. The result of our life-long journey is to become increasingly like Jesus Christ.

What are our purposes as a church? We seek to magnify the Lord in worship (Mk 12:30). In everyday life, we realize that it is all too easy to minimize the Lord by forgetting about Him. For that reason, we come together to enjoy Him and to celebrate His goodness. We recognize Him for who He truly is.
We seek to express God's mercy to those who are in need (Mk 12:31). Now that we have experienced the abundant blessing of the Lord, we feel a need to share that blessing with those among us in need. We love others because God first loved us (1 Jn 4:19).
We seek to grow as disciples of Jesus Christ (Mt 28:18-20). Like any good relationship, there is a deepening of experience and a growing sense of joy which develops over time. So it is with Jesus. As we help each other grow as His disciples, He works in us and through us to make Himself known.
