Our Mission: To make disciples of Jesus Christ who are motivated by His grace in becoming spiritually mature, both in terms of the individual believer and in terms of our youth group as a community of believers (Mt 28:18-20; 2 Tim 2:2; 2 Cor 5:14).
How do we seek to accomplish our Mission? We ask for the Lord’s help as we seek to form friendships with students who are at different places in life.
So for a young person who is:
Not so interested in the whole “God-thing”-- He or she is encouraged to attend our Underground Coffeehouse, where he or she can begin forming relationships with believers and nonbelievers in a laid-back, non-threatening atmosphere.
Mildly interested in God and/or wants to hear more about Him -- He or she is encouraged to attend our Third Place Large Group. Here, we play around, sing some songs and provide teaching that matters to young people.
Interested in knowing God and having a growing relationship with Him -- He or she is encouraged to be part of a small group led by caring and knowledgeable adult leaders. Here, relationships are deepened as they become more centered around Christ. Tough questions are welcomed and discussed. The student is given the chance to be real with others his or her age.
Interested in leading others to God and working with those who share the same passion -- He or she is encouraged to participate in the seven-week leadership training ‘Lab’ called DOULOS (Greek for ‘servant’). Taking place every summer, this leadership-training lab not only provides the knowledge and encouragement needed to be a leader in God’s kingdom, but it also allows students to participate in weekly experiential leadership challenges. Certain students who participate will become student leaders for the following year.
